"I finally got her into CrossFit, and she’s really enjoying wearing these shoes for barbell lifts and squats. I also got a pair for myself, and they’ve held up for more than two years and counting!"
"Holy hell, these shoes exceeded my expectations. I had a feeling they'd be good, but I honestly didn't think they would change my workouts this much. The stability, ground feel, and connection to the floor are incredible. Every time I put them on, I feel more focused, locked in, and ready to train. Whether I'm squatting, deadlifting, or just moving weight, these shoes make me feel planted and confident. They've become one of those pieces of gear that I actually look forward to using every workout. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone serious about lifting, and I'd buy them again without hesitation. TYR, please make more colors! 🔥💪"
"Shoes are great, grip is amazing, don’t get the ones with the straps. Little plastic pieces that the strap go through at the bottom are cheap and will break on you. Mine just exploded on me halfway through the WOD 😂"
"I love the shoes, but the biggest issue I have is how much the front strap of the shoe digs into my skin where the big toe’s joint is located. I don’t have the same issue with the Flyknit, but hopefully the pair just requires you to break them in to resolve the issue. Otherwise, would’ve been a perfect score!"
"I enjoy these drops, they do provide that extra space. My squat feels more stable, my feet have plenty of room to grow and spread out. Top notch!"
"I love feeling my feet connected to the floor with these when I'm doing any lifting such as backsquat, deadlift, cleans, snatches, etc. For crossfit I also appreciate how grippy they are so I don't have to worry about slipping on the box jumps and it's so much easier to lunge with the wide flexible toe box! These are so great for my stability and mobility. Although they say 'men's' I'm a petite woman and think they're pretty cute 😏"
"I’m overall very satisfied with the TYR Barefoot DZ-1. The stability is excellent, and the grip on the floor is really impressive thanks to the high-quality rubber outsole. On the downside, they can feel quite uncomfortable when the straps are tightened, which puts noticeable pressure on the foot."
"I have never purchased a pair of barefoot shoes and am relatively new to strength training (last 6 months) and have progressed to the level where my trainer suggested I work barefoot for lifts. I wear these shoes with no socks because they are kind of snug and I ordered the size that I wear in about 98% of shoes I buy. The only caveat with these is that they feel a little tight on my left pinky toe (not my right), and releasing the velcro a little does help. I've only worn them about 2 weeks atp, so maybe they'll stretch a little more over the next few weeks and feel better. Otherwise, I do feel more grounded in my lifts and am liking this new addition to my fitness journey. For the price and functionality, I would definitely recommend these. If your feet are on the wider side, you may have to release the velcro a little but that's not a big deal."
"I really want to love these shoes. I have the black/gold pair and those are great. For some reason the white ones are so narrow. I wore them for a WOD and my feet hurt when I strap them all the way. So now when I wear them, I lightly strap them (just so the strap isn’t flapping around) but I really don’t want to. I can’t return them bc they’re worn so I’m super bummed to be stuck with them. I still wear them here and there but they’re tight for me. I’m wondering if there’s a difference btwn buying the women’s shoe or the men’s shoe. I bought the pair that was under the women’s category. On the bright side, the grip was awesome. I could see myself wearing these for inside the gym for volleyball."
"I have wanted these trainers for quite some time, when they released this color way I knew it was time to buy! They fit great, they are amazing in the gym and I find myself forgetting to take them off because they are so comfortable. I could wear these all day everyday! New favorite shoe ☺️ They are very breathable and light, the straps feel good, there is plenty of room in the toe box, I purchased a 7. 5 and they fit perfect, they are true to size."
