Weighing just 5.3 oz (150 g), the VE2 combines HYPERLAUNCH™ foam with a full-length carbon POWERPLATE for energy return, stability and a propulsive toe-off. The SPDWEAVE™ mesh upper provides a secure race-day fit, while the TYRTAC™ outsole adds traction and durability across changing conditions. A 40mm heel stack, 34mm forefoot and 6mm drop provide a balance of cushioning and responsiveness, while the extended forefoot and late-stage rocker support running efficiency through every stride.

    Everything I was looking for in a potential PR runner

    A beautiful race shoe, in design and in execution. My lightest shoe, in size 11 it weighed in at 6.2oz/176g. Purchased for a 5k PR attempt I had only 1 400m run in it beforehand. I felt comfortable that it would work for 3 miles and it performed flawlessly. At slow warmup paces it's actually quite accommodating, but putting down full power that foam/plate combo comes alive. You can just bounce off the forefoot along with a smooth tempo, but the rocker and plate beg you to dig into and off of your toes. Outsole seemed great but I did not have any water to worry about on my route. Upper is basically see through and breathable. Fit around my foot was secure, tight, w/o being uncomfortable.

    I love this shoe so far. I have a 10miler race in Dec and was thinking about my AP4 for that but, now I'm thinking maybe I could hold a faster avg longer in these. I'll be doing a 15 mile 3 shoe test to see which one I'll use for that race.

    Very aggressive, this shoe was designed for racing. It would be hard for me to use these on a full marathon because of how much it works out my calves. 5k- half marathon would be great to PR in
