Men's CXT-3 Trainer - University Blue

The Technology Stack

SURGENRG™ Foam Midsole

Ultra-responsive foam engineered to react to the energy you put in. SURGENRG™ converts applied force into elastic rebound — delivering consistency and power return whether you're under a barbell or pushing through a conditioning circuit. The perfect balance of density and responsiveness for athletes who do both.

New External TPU Heel Counter

The most significant structural upgrade from the CXT-2. An extended TPU side rail integrates into the heel, wrapping the rearfoot for superior stability and lockdown under heavy load. Enhanced security through lifts, squats, and strength exercises — so your foot stays exactly where it needs to be.

TYRTAC™ Herringbone Rubber Outsole

TYR's proprietary rubber compound, now with a redesigned herringbone tread pattern for improved grip, durability, and versatility across all training surfaces. Keeps you grounded through different lifts and movements — from rope climbs to box jumps to heavy pulls.

TPU Stability Wrap

Lateral support and structural durability built into the midfoot. Adds reinforcement for multi-directional movement and the demands of rope climbs and handstand push-ups without adding weight.

Lightweight Breathable Mesh Upper with No-Sew Overlays

New upper construction reduces weight and increases breathability while no-sew overlays maintain protective structure and lightweight durability. Less material. More performance.

An ounce lighter. Stronger heel lockdown. Better traction. The same wide-platform stability base that athletes trusted in the CXT-2 — now built for the demands of the next generation of training.

Size & Fit

A true-to-size athletic training fit. The anatomical toe box is designed for natural splay — wider than a standard trainer to accommodate the foot's natural spread under load.

True to size for most athletes. If you have a wider foot or a bunion, a half size up is recommended for additional comfort.
