Reviews

These shoes are awesome

"They feel great, sturdy but not restricting. Perfect for cross fit. Have been great so far for lifting and cardio work. When lifting, I feel a strong foundation in my feet. They also have a good bit of grip (or are at least not too smooth or slippery), which is great for things like rope climbs. I have not tried them for running yet. I'm usually an 8-9. 5 depending on shoe brand, style etc. I tend to prefer a wider fit. I got a size 9 regular (not "wide") which feels just right."

Built to keep you building

"I’ve been extremely impressed with the Men’s CXT-2 Elite Carbon Trainer. They perform exceptionally well in every aspect of training—from strength workouts and functional fitness to conditioning sessions. They’re comfortable, stable, lightweight, and provide great support without sacrificing mobility. My only complaint is the limited color options. If these came in more colorways, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy multiple pairs. They’re that good. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-tier training shoe."

Best training shoes

"I’ve been using these for CrossFit workouts, and they’ve been excellent. They’re stable for lifting, responsive during jumps and short runs, and very comfortable even through longer workouts. The grip is great, and they feel secure during movements like squats, lunges, and Olympic lifts. They’re lightweight without sacrificing support. Definitely one of the best training shoes I’ve owned."

"Shoe not accurate to size by at least 1 full size, likely more. It had a very narrow toe box. They would not exchange or refund saying it was a final sale even though I bought directly from them. I will not buy from them again."

"Super small!! These are crazy short. Sizing need to be corrected. They charge yuu for shipping @ returns. This is a racket!! They know their sizing is wrog, but its still going to cost me $30 in shipping to send back a pair of shoes that will never fit someone who wears a woman’s 9.5 in all of her shoes. Thanks for nothing!"

Tight but efficient

"The toe box is a little tighter than I expected, especially compared to the TYR barefoot shoe. They did provide good support and cushion for the treadmill, and snatch work. They allow for easy movement on the platform and grip once planted."

Angelica T. (4/5)

"This is not a true size 12 in womans. TYR shoes run small. Wish I saw that before I ordered. Went back and saw reviews and most say run small. Also lost out in $15 due to using shop cash and having to pay to ship back. I will not order shoes again from TYR."

Quality does not match the price

"My right shoe had multiple quality issues from the start. The insole was not glued down properly and appeared to be the wrong size for the shoe. During training, it gradually slid backward until it began sticking out of the heel. After about a week, I had to remove it, trim it to fit, and glue it down myself. The left shoe never had this issue. After only a few additional training sessions, the outsole also began separating from the sides of the right shoe. Given how little use the shoes have seen, this level of wear is disappointing and appears to be a manufacturing defect rather than normal use."

Super comfy

"They are super comfy, especially if you have a wide foot and keep your foot stable as well. My new most favourite Crossfit shoe!"
