Highest Scoring Female in Overall Grand Prix Series

Mary DeScenza finishes off the 2007-2008 Grand Prix Series as the highest scoring female swimmer and runner up, ahead of all other competitors.

In the 200m Butterfly, Mary set her second Meet Record of the Charlotte Grand Prix. A repeat from her 100m Butterfly record setting swims the day prior; Mary established a new Meet Record in the 200m Butterfly in the preliminaries and lowered it in the finals. She held the Charlotte Grand Prix Meet Record since 2003. This weekend, Mary improved the Meet Record by over 2 seconds, from 2:10.61 to 2:08.10.

At the 2008 Charlotte Grand Prix, Mary garnered 2 Gold medals (100m Butterfly, 200m Butterfly), Silver in the 200m Freestyle (1:59.85) and Bronze in the 100m Backstroke (1:02.25).
